Grievance Procedures for Students Registered with DR
Any complaints concerning services provided by the office of Disability Resources (DR) should first be given in written form to the Director
of the office. The Director of DR will respond within ten days to the complaint.
If the complaint is not resolved at this level, or if the complaint includes
the Director of DR, the student should follow the grievance procedures listed
for the office of the Vice Provost for Student Success. The Vice Provost of
Student Success grievance procedures can be viewed online at: http://www.studenthandbook.ku.edu/codes.html#Appeal/Grievance%20Procedures
under the section titled "Appeals/Grievances".
If the complaint is perceived by any of the above administrators as a matter
of discrimination based on disability, the complaint will be referred to the
Equal Opportunity Office.
